Baking: Time, Temperature, Weight & Volume
updated August 19, 2023
Recorded here is my own personal collection of articles, resources, favorite links, teaching ideas, and lesson plans. It encompasses many years, from the very beginning of my experience studying and learning about Waldorf to the present time. People from all around the world visit my site and recommend it to others. Welcome!
This site records my journey. I hope my honesty is encouraging and helps break down some barriers that may prevent people from trying Waldorf methods. Because this is an ongoing site documenting my curriculum planning and ideas, some materials are more Waldorf-y than others. Please feel free to take what you like and leave the rest.
This page has helpful links and LOADS of free resources to help you plan your third grade year. Enjoy!

Obviously any cookbook would work well as the "main text" for this block, but I'm
especially fond of Festivals Family and Food: Guide to Seasonal Celebration by
Diana Carey & Judy Large, since it also includes so many stories, traditions, and crafts. Candy Verney's
The Singing Day and The Singing Year go well with this book as they contain the tunes
to many of the songs. (This trio of books would also work well for Early Childhood, if you have
children under the age of 7 at home.)

Books to Buy
I strongly recommend creating a cookbook as a non-traditional MLB for this block. In the past we've used a binder but it
just looks a bit dumpy next to all of the other beautiful books we have made. I'm so excited to now find the perfect solution,
and I have one ready for when Zac (currently four) reaches third grade!
