Finding Used Curriculum Materials
I suggest joining the Waldorf Curriculum Yahoo group
for its buy/sell listings as well as for support for your transition. We have a combination of experienced and new homeschooling families, as well as Waldorf classroom teachers.
Your Current Homeschool Library
You haven't indicated yet to me what you have that would be helpful for Jamie's Waldorf lessons.
Online Books
I recommend Steiner's The Child's Changing Consciousness as the Basis for Pedagogical Practice; you can
read this online as a PDF or choose to purchase it from Amazon. I prefer to buy. I like to underline things and write in the margins of my books! But the PDF lets you preview and see if it's a book you're interested in owning, so both serve a purpose.

There are hundreds of wonderful Waldorf books available online completely free, in PDF form, as ebooks, thanks to The Online Waldorf Library, a project of the Research Institute for
Waldorf Education.
Browse and enjoy! All ages from birth through high school are included in their selections.
And, as someone who bought a LOT of these books, I can tell you it is many thousands of dollars worth of free content. Amazing! Here are some that I think you'll find particularly helpful for this school year:
- Developmental Insights edited by David Mitchell
- Developmental Signatures, Core Values and Practices in Waldorf Education for Children ages 3 to 9
by Reiner Patzlaff, Wolfgang Sassmannhausen, et al.
- Difficult Children: There is No Such Thing by Henning Kohler
I love this book!
-
Handwork and Handicrafts: Indications by Rudolf Steiner by Hedwig Hauck
- 25 Plays by David Mitchell
very helpful for Old Testament Stories - my Sunday School class always put on a play each year using books such as this for our scripts
- Hawthorne Valley Harvest - A Collection of Plays for the Elementary Grades
edited by William Ward
another great collection of plays
- Pedagogical Theatre by Arthur Pittis
a description of how and why you should write your own plays, tailored for the students in your class
- An English Grammar: The Language Before Babel by Rudolf Schmid
also for the Old Testament block, which is when Grammar is introduced (Adam named all the animals... nouns)
- And There Was Light by Jakob Streit
also for the Old Testament block, a wonderful book, the first in his series of three, with retellings of the OT Stories
- Journey to the Promised Land: The Path of the People of Israel from Abraham's Calling to David's Dream by Jakob Streit
superbly told retellings
- Creative Pathways: Activities that Strengthen the Child's Cognitive Forces by Elizabeth Auer
I actually love this book so much, and the companion volume below, and find that I turn to them so often that I 100% recommend buying both of them. But use the PDF to preview and decide!
- Learning About the World through Modeling by Arthur Auer
- Math Lessons for Elementary Grades by Dorothy Harrer
- Teaching Language Arts in the Waldorf School ed. by Roberto Trostli
- Painting in Waldorf Education by Dick Bruin and Attie Lichthart
- One, Two, Three! An original collection of songs, verses, riddles and stories for children of grades 1-3 by David Adams
-
Temperaments and the Arts: Their Relation and Function in Waldorf Pedagogy
by Magda Lissau
-
Teaching Children Handwriting by Audrey McAllen

Don't forget... I'm happy to lend any of these titles to you if you would like to preview them for a month.
